Dear Diary,
It was the D-day for the Muslims in India. Not that
Muslims in
Indian are any different from Muslims in another country but they were the ones who have been through the Babri Masjid demolition and the reactions of a disgraceful act almost 18 years back I guess 17 years. It doesn't matter actually; demolishing a mosque is not the only pain that a Muslim has to bear; many such mosques have been demolished in our hearts. Anyways, it was not just those 17 or 18 years; Muslims have been through it for centuries.
I am pretty sure not many Muslims liked the verdict of the high court on demolishing the Babri Masjid. Even I didn't. They declared that it is Ram janam bhoomi and the land is to be divided between Muslims and Hindus. When I first read it on the internet my immediate reaction was that "The place belongs to Muslims; and it must be returned to them with due respect. As it is archeologists say that there would be no possibility of even smell of human being 8lak yrs back almost the same time they claim about Ram's birth!'
Well the reaction was over and I started thinking about the decision. It reminded me of something very usual between siblings. It was me and my younger sister again. We always wanted to sit next to our mom for meal and it was just one seat next to her. One day another fight broke up between the two of us. We were quite young hardly 5 or 6 yrs as I recall. My mom got really bugged and wanted to settle it once and for all. She said that my sister will sit next to her and I will take up the other seat exactly opposit to her. Well we two were almost like next to mom. The places was divided. My sister was happy as if she has got what belongs to her but I wasn't. I somehow felt cheated. May be I wanted it all but I agreed to the decision half heartedly. It was the right decision though and I was too young to understand that.
It was just another division of the place. We two wanted to be closer to mom for say 30 minutes a day and we forgot the real motto behind being there. We were their to eat and not to sit next to her.
The jury did the right thing. Probably they acted like a mother. "Can't be partial with one child and leave the other one hurt". I totally believe that moms do understand that a bruised heart pains more than a skinned knee.
A muslim should anticipate that it was just a 2 or 3 acre of land and they are not loosing it. They still have a part of it. And 2 acres of land is nothing compared to ruling the country for 700 years. They had had enough of this country. Now that they are not ruling the country they should equally accept this. One shouldn't tolerate any injustice but then should stop saying that it was their land and they must get it back. Remember it was once their country too!
Akbar once asked Birbal "Tell me something that'll make me happy when I am sad and make me sad when I am happy". Birbal a very wise man indeed replied: Say to yourself "Even this will pass". I think every ruler should make sure that they make the best of it. Make sure that no hatred flourish in anybody's heart for whatever reason. Muslims couldn't do that in their rule; at least not as nicely as one should have done. I hope others don't repeat this. One should always remember even this will pass.

I feel it was the right decision.... And as you explained it no one can be hurt.. irrespective of whom the land belongs to... i just read recently online that in Karnataka village all muslims and hindus together rebuild a mosque that was broken down. That doesnt mean that those people own it... Its never about owning something..
So, all this time & money & lives wasted to honor the all-powerful imaginary dude from the sky, who probably could have used his powers to protect his home in the first place anyway! And moreover, if he stays in the heavens, which probably is the most awesome place to be in the universe, then why do people think that with all the pollution, commotion, and the heat and sweat, would he even give a shit about his home on earth!
Guys, there probably is no God. So, stop worrying, and go ahead and enjoy your life!

IT STILL IS (their country too) - just have to look & think beyond narrow minded political agenda's.

@Bipin: I meant it was originally a Hindu country and Mumslims invaded with Sher Shah Suri the first Muslim indo pak ruler like the Britisher. Of course India is still their country too but somehow I feel that narrow political minded muslims still behave like Britishers. They feel that they had ruled here once and one day when they'll wakeup and would be the rulers again. Half of this statement will come true soon.. they will wake up.

I don't want to comment what is right and what is wrong, however I liked the article 'cause it came straight from heart. No adulteration. Nice expression. Good going.
To look at the judgemnet as a finding towards the dispute I am opined that the verdict does not answer it unambiguously.
I believe the decision is merely a politcally correct one,in a way that it tried not to open a forum for communal disharmony.
However, one needs to understand that communal riots have always been pre-meditated :) So one will have to wait to watch how things evolve.
For now ,the only benefit that "A WEDNESDAY" man has is that communal organisations can no longer make use of the debate to their advantage.
Nevertheless, one has to realise that its time to move on...

I remember before the day of verdict People from both the parties who actually filed the case saying that they will accept the decision what so ever it is.
Now day after the verdict is announced both the parties are making statements that they are not happy with the verdict and will approach supreme court.
This will continue for more N years
My views are void. I am happy because that no one was hurt and there is no curfew anywhere.
As Khalil Gibran said "If your heart is filled with volcano, how shall you expect flowers to bloom?" Why should we expect peace and harmony between our sects if we still have that "Hindu" "Muslim" stuff in our mind.
In Islam, it is said that God, the Almighty is One then why is Ram different and Allah is different. Why can't they be one?
In Hindus, there are so many castes and languages but still they do have enmity among themselves even after being under a roof of single sect. Pretty strange!!!
Now that the verdict is out, the crying babies have got nipples in their mouth so they've stopped crying. Even we should stop bothering about this and get along with our busy lives.
